How did you get started in the logistics industry, and what has your journey been like up to this point?
Unofficially as a salesman coordinating the transportation of goods from our Office in South Eastern Nigeria to 8 states under our region. Officially when I joined a multinational shipping lines and we had to lots of coordination even to other West African countries. The journey has been enjoyous wherein I was opportuned to be a problem solver.
What was the most unusual/challenging shipment your recently handled?
It was an out of gauge turn key project equipment for a business concern where we had to move the units over a distance of 2500km. We deployed 10 units of flatbed trucks and 15 units of special heavy duty trucks( 150 tons ) as well as covered body trucks. This took 3 weeks to deliver as we had to navigate difficult road networks to deliver within the time frame set for the project.
Is there one thing that you could change to the logistics industry, what would it be and why?
Ease of logistics business from an Anglophone nation like ours with the several neighbouring Francophone countries that border us. Having a rail system that connects African countries will help boost international trade particularly to the land locked nations.
What is the most important lesson working in logistics has taught you?
It has taught me that possibilities exist. There is always a solution to complex problems.
What do you like most about the industry and your job in particular?
Being a trade facilitator, a problem solver, a connection point between systems, people and organisations across several economic and cultural divide.
How do you set yourself apart from your competitors?
By providing bespoke services to clients and paying attention to the specific needs of every client.
What do you like the most abount being a member of our logistics network?
The opportunities the network gave with global visibility and connectivity to all continents.

Watching movies.
