For this week’s interview, we sat down with Pavlos Poutos from Piraeus, Greece. He talked to us about how going paperless made working from home so much easier and their devotion for their employees, clients and partners.
How did you get started in the logistics industry and how did you end up with your current company?
I started in 1999, worked in several companies and in 2007 I started my company.
Are there any exciting projects you are currently working on?
Yes! To support our clients with the best possible services available and solve problems that often occur between freight transportation. We keep evolving internal procedures by upgrading our logistics with Logitude’s SaaS freight forwarding software.
At the end of January, we will have our own Online Platform Tool called myMCS. With this way we would like to cover our needs and serve our partners and clients instantly. Our aim is to save precious time and increase the sales for all parties.
Logitude provides us with a cloud-based software that includes the most updated freight management capabilities and covers all aspects of cargo transportation. It’s a user-friendly program that includes various freight forwarder models which allows us to improve our functional abilities around the globe.
Moreover, the system gives us the ability to work shipments directly through default selections or by using customized options. We do everything we can to reassure every partner for their cargo transportation because we are committed to provide our clients the safest and most up to date freight forwarding services.
How did COVID-19 impact your business?
We are using cloud software and since 2019, we are a paperless operational company. During the pandemic, it was easy for us to work as we prepared well and on time.
What do you like about being a freight forwarder?
I like that every day is a totally different than the previous one. My job is to stay up to date and follow up conferences, exhibitions and new product services.

I would make the relevant education in shipping and logistics mandatory for people working in the industry.
What do you like most about being a member of our logistics network?
I like that you are searching ways to communicate with us and listening to what we are facing every day, based on our supply chain experiences.
