How did you get started in the logistics industry, and what has your journey been like up to this point?

I began my journey in logistics back in 2004. I still vividly remember coming across a recruitment advertisement in the newspaper, a small 6x4x6 cm box that caught my eye. Excited, I applied for the position and went through both verbal and written interviews. Thankfully, I passed! However, I didn’t receive a response about the start date until the end of the month. Determined, I followed up with HR until they finally hired me. 😊

That’s how my career in the logistics industry began. Today, with 20 years of experience in local and global logistics and shipping, I’m incredibly proud to have established my own company, Tharawon Global.

If there is one thing that you could change to the logistics industry, what would it be and why?

I would like to upgrade to the newest technology, such as automation systems, real-time visibility, and technology integration, to speed up the logistics process in Myanmar.

What is the most exciting project or shipment you have been working on recently?

That is one-stop services from local to global transport with barge operations, involving trucking, barge, rail, clearances, and container transportation. All are managed to meet the timeline and catch up with the cut-off time, even with difficulties along the way.

Which life lesson has working in logistics taught you?

Lack of skills are difficult to manage at logistics industry. Only the skill people can do logistics.

What do you like most about the industry and your job in particular?

As a logistiker, what I like most is managing tasks for myself and every department to ensure a successful process.

How do you set yourself apart from your competitors?

I perceived as the competitors are our partner. I am always thinking about what could be made different from our competitors.

What do you like the most about being a member of our logistics network?

By joining ALFA, hope Tharawon Global gain access with a potential partners who are actively seeking partnership with shipments from the global. Hope opens up new collaboration and expands our trade base significantly.
